Public Education Instructor
Once qualified, you will be able to teach classes on boating safety to the general public. These classes are offered periodically by Flotilla 16-12. They are a great chance to educate the public on all aspects of boating safety. If you've always wanted to show off your knowledge of boating, here's the chance! The Auxiliary offers training on how to teach these classes.
This is a team effort coordinated by the flotilla's FSO-PE (staff officer for public education). Qualification as an Instructor involves class room work and practice teaching under supervision. Those qualifying are awarded a uniform ribbon and medal.
